CAS No. of Carboxymethyl Cellulose: 9000-11-7
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, or C6H7(OH)2OCH2COONa, is odorless, tasteless, and has a great hygroscopicity. It will become a clear and transparent colloid in water, but it is not soluble in organic solvents like ethanol. It is the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) or cellulose gum.
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose can be used as a component of fracturing fluid in petrochemical industry, as well as sludge stabilizer and water-retaining agent in oil drilling industry. The dosage is 2.3 ton for shallow well, 5.6 ton for deep well.Parameters
